NEW WORLD PARK, the former amusement centre of Penang that has remained closed for decades, is set to return to its former glory as a one-stop for food, shopping and entertainment. Designed as individual shops and stalls within a high-roofed alfresco mall, it includes a centre performing stage for live performances, live bands, dances, aerobic sessions and other exciting events. Unlike the yesteryears, New World Park appears to be positioned for more wholesome activities, judging from its design, facilities and the food outlets it has attracted.

Officially launched in January 2008, the unique landmark located in the heart of Georgetown Penang, affectionately known as “Sin Sei Kai” in the Hokkien dialect now offers Penangites and visitors alike an exciting dining, shopping and lifestyle experience. The massive overhead canopies and roof terraces enhance the ambience where you can dine semi alfresco the whole day through.
     
From West to the East, fusion to authentic and Asian delights, there is a fine balance of dining selection to choose from. New World Park is also a shopper’s delight, from boutique to fashion accessories along with lifestyle gifts and collectibles plus the trendiest Hair Salon, it’s totally a new world of dining and entertaining experience.
